Respected friends:

 

I wish to inform you urgently that our collaborator is in Madrid, whom we have entrusted with delivering to you in due course the document we wished to hand over to you, for security reasons, in another European capital. In this way we will spare you the inconvenience inherent in such a long journey. Understand that otherwise delivery would have been difficult without relying on the international postal channel, which offers us no guarantee. Nor can we, at this moment when I am in Spain, make that delivery, because to each of the documents we will deposit (four in all) in the hands of Earth men, apart from a common text, a peculiar independent piece of information is added.

 

You have nothing more to do but await our news before the first of December. Our collaborator has received instructions in this respect, even though we are not among you.

 

Only in the serious event that he attempted to make the delivery without possibility, for reasons of force majeure, This same collaborator would become the definitive depositary.

 

Otherwise, the envelope we deliver to you must be kept closed until the date indicated on it.

 

We do not wish to worry you in the least. The document summarises a series of points which we set out for the consideration of the experts of planet Earth in case we do not return to it.
